The Markens Group, Inc. is an association management company that services local and national clients including professional societies, associations, and non-profit organizations. We’re looking for a detail-oriented, flexible high-achiever to join our marketing and communications team. We work hard, and we like to laugh, too.


 


What you’ll do:


We expect you’ll wow us with your passion for branding, design, and engaging your target audience. You’ll work with a team to develop and implement marketing campaigns for our clients as well as our company. You’ll be willing, eager, and comfortable to liaise with internal and external partners including team members, clients, board members, vendors, and community partners alike to help develop, coordinate, and execute integrated and multi-channel campaign strategies. Your detailed and thoughtful approach to design will be complimented by your analytical mindset, and you'll feel engaged by the diversity of brand styles and variety of industries we serve.


 


 


Some Responsibilities Include:



  • Creatively design and manage marketing campaigns adhering to brand guidelines

  • Update website content, design, and layout (Wordpress)

  • Create social media graphics, style guides, and branding standards

  • Layout and design marketing materials including flyers, brochures, magazines, newsletters, postcards, and various collateral

  • Design and schedule emails and newsletters using Constant Contact and Mail Chimp

  • Create PowerPoint presentations

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and clients

  • Compose monthly analytics reports for client social media and website accounts

  • Track projects, measure results, and continually look for opportunities to increase engagement and develop process efficiency

  • Research and order various marketing materials


Required Qualifications :

Qualifications:



  • 3-5 years’ experience of professional marketing/communications roles

  • Some experience with the Adobe Suite and eye for design, branding, and layouts

  • Ability to adhere to branding guidelines and deliver consistent design across platforms

  • Professional experience delivering social media campaigns

  • Degree in marketing, PR, or related field

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills and the ability to meet multiple, sometimes competing deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work both as part of a team and independently

  • Willingness to receive and integrate constructive feedback

  • Experience with website builders such as WordPress (html a bonus!)

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to self-direct

  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel
